Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to Play Villain Kurse in THOR: THE DARK WORLD

From Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures comes the sequel to the popular 2011 comic book based film starring Chris Hemsworth as the Asgardian God of Thunder, as well as Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston.

Thor: The Dark World is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) based off a screenplay by Robert Rodat and Don Payne. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Zachery Levi, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings and Christopher Eccleston.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, HBO's OZ, Fox's Lost) is the latest addition to the film's cast, and will play one of it's lead villains Algrim the Strong. Algrim is one of the strongest of the Dark Elves but still no match physically for Thor until a powerful being fuses enchanted armor to his skin; it is then that he begins using the name Kurse. The Dark Elf Malekith The Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) will also be featured as one of the film's villains.
Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures have scheduled Thor: The Dark World for theatrical release November 8th, 2013. Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on August 1st, 2014, Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be released April 4th, 2014, and Iron Man 3 will arrive in theaters May 3rd, 2013.
