The Film

In one long-overdue weekend, old friends will reconnect, old flames re-ignite and everyone will rediscover just how much fun you can pack into one hilarious weekend...

It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim (Jason Biggs, Life Happens, “Mad Love”) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan, “How I Met Your Mother”) got married while Stifler (Seann William Scott, Role Models) still refuses to grow up. Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas, Please Give) and Vicky (Tara Reid, “Scrubs”) said goodbye while Oz (Chris Klein, American Dreamz) and Heather (Mena Suvari, “American Horror Story”) grew apart. Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas, “How to Make It in America”) still longs for Stifler’s mom (Jennifer Coolidge, Legally Blonde) and Jim’s dad (Eugene Levy, Best in Show) is learning to date. The hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend return as American Reunion brings this beloved franchise back with “flat out hilarious, raunchy fun” (Pete Hammond, Box Office Magazine).

Fancy Meeting You Here

Eugene Levy and Jennifer Coolidge have appeared in the American Pie franchise together, and also in many Christopher Guest movies. This feature will highlight other duos who have appeared in multiple, unrelated movies together, including Tom Hanks with Meg Ryan, Matt Damon with Ben Affleck, and Will Ferrell with Luke Wilson.

Jennifer Coolidge & Eugene Levy

After several appearances in American Pie franchise films, American Reunion finally brought our favorite mom and dad together. But this isn’t the first time that Coolidge and Levy have shared screen time. The comedians have also appeared in movies like Best in Show, For Your Consideration and A Mighty Wind.

Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks

The first time that Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks appeared onscreen together was in the little-known Joe Versus the Volcano, where Ryan played three different characters. After that, the two starred in the hugely popular romance, Sleepless in Seattle and then went on to continue their partnership in You’ve Got Mail.

Matt Damon & Ben Affleck

After writing Good Will Hunting together, both Damon and Affleck were on top of the world, topped off with an Oscar win. These BFFs were also in School Ties, Chasing Amy, Glory Daze, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back together and though haven’t reunited onscreen in a while, they have remained close friends in real life.

Brad Pitt & George Clooney

After filming Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s 11, Pitt and Clooney had so much fun that they signed on for two sequels, mostly to hang out for longer. The two have had an ongoing friendship and reunited in Burn After Reading as well. The two had to square off at this year’s Oscars as well, with both nominated for Best Actor. (They both lost to Jean Dujardin who won for The Artist).

Adam Sandler & Rob Schneider

Possibly the most seen on-screen duo is that of Sandler and Schneider. After working together on Saturday Night Live through the early ’90s , the two of appeared in nearly 20 films together including The Waterboy, Little Nicky, The Hot Chick, 50 First Dates, Grandma’s Boy and Grown Ups. Last year, the two appeared together in Jack and Jill, and many more collaborations are in the works.

Woody Allen and Diane Keaton

The beginning of Keaton’s film career was primarily shaped by films with writer/director Woody Allen, including the first project they worked together on, Play It Again, Sam in 1972. That was followed by Sleeper, Love and Death and then of course, Annie Hall, where she won the Best Actress Academy Award. Allen even based the character of Annie Hall on Keaton who continued an on-again, off-again romance through the ‘70s and early ‘80s.
