Teaser Trailer for Steven Spielberg & Peter Jackson's THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN
Published: May 17, 2011 - 7:09am
Featuring the voices of Jaime Bell, Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig and Nick Frost, the adaptation of the long running Tintin comic is director Spielberg's first venture into performance capture 3D digital filming.

Combining three of Belgian artist Georges "Hergé" Remi's comic stories --The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure -- the film depicts Tintin's (Jamie Bell) first encounter with Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis) and the discovery of a clue to the treasure of his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock. They set out to find it with protection from a prison escapee who tried to get the treasure as well as Detectives Thompson and Thomson (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost).
Directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson, and written by Edgar Wright, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is scheduled for theatrical release December 23rd, 2011.

Green Lantern will rule the summer, and Tintin will rule the end of year.Or maybe the all year, who knows...
Have a international trailer to with a litlle more new footage.

I really hope Green Lantern is the proverbial dogs you know what, but i have a feeling that Captain America is going to steal the show concerning comic book movies this year

I'm not sure if this will get huge box office numbers (although there are huge names attached), but I have little doubt that this will be a great film.

god i hate motion capture!!! you can tell by this trailer that they still don't feel 100% comfortable with it either... notice how they don't show any of the characters' mouths while they are talking?
these mo cap movies are a complete waste of money and talent. why not just do a live action film??
lame

I agree. Real actors are far better

plus, look at how well "Mars Needs Moms" did...
why do they continue to make these type of "animated" films??
no doubt this will do well overseas, but... the majority of the US has no idea who the heck Tin Tin is!!!

Of all of the animated mo-cap movies that have come out, this is the first time that i am interested in one. I will definitely see this! Looks cool as hell!! I like that Spielberg went from taking out guns in ET to putting a gun in a kid's hand!!

This looks awesome! I've actually never read the Tin Tin comic before, so yeah, i have no clue who this is, but now I do, I'll go watch it and I'll probably pick up the comic!
I am indifferent as to whether this is in animation or live action. The animation these days sometimes has the same effect and I sometimes enjoy it more. Also, there have been so many complaints about movies these days having no original concept and I actually want to see something new that I've never heard about. This would be new!
