Spoiler-Filled SMALLVILLE Finale Promo & New Preview Clips Released

Canadian network Space has released a trailer for Smallville's highly anticipated final episode which provides new footage.

After the announcement of Michael Rosenbaum's reprisal as Lex Luthor, fans have been excitingly waiting to see the actor reprise his long absent role as the popular antagonist. The plot surrounding Lex Luthor's return for the finale has been kept tight-lipped by the CW and even the crew who have only given mild hints. Rosenbaum said in a previous interview with TVGuide, “...his plan of cloning spare parts worked, only there's a big twist. And there is a first-time ever scene with my sister Tess [Cassidy Freeman]. I also have a great scene with Clark [Tom Welling] that will launch them each into their destinies as adversaries.”

BE THERE AS SMALLVILLE WRAPS UP CLARK KENT’S TEN-YEAR JOURNEY IN AN EPIC TWO-HOUR SERIES FINALE — The story of Clark Kent (Tom Welling) culminates in this epic two-hour series finale as Clark takes the last step to becoming the Man of Steel. With surprise guest appearances, nods to the first few seasons of the series and Michael Rosenbaum’s return as Lex Luthor, this final episode wraps up a decade-long story following one’s man’s journey to becoming the world’s greatest superhero. Erica Durance, Allison Mack, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, John Glover, Annette O’Toole and John Schneider also star. Kevin Fair directed “Finale Part 1,” which was written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer and Greg Beeman directed “Finale Part 2,” written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders.

The two-hour series finale will air on May 13, 2011 on the CW Network.
