Random BLAM! BATMAN LIVE Cast Photo Offers First Look at The Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy & More

Update: The first official image from the upcoming Batman Live theater experience has debuted, showing off the stage costumes that the actors will be wearing during the performances.

For the first time in DC Comics history, see Batman as you've never seen him before, in an all-new, live-action arena adventure, set to take the world by storm. Premiering in the UK in Summer 2011, Batman Live - World Arena Tour is a multi-million pound stage production of unprecedented scale and a must-see for families and Batman fans everywhere.

Based on an original story being created exclusively for the show, Batman Live is a theatrical extravaganza of thrilling stunts, acrobatic acts and illusions. Never before has Gotham City, Wayne Manor, the Batcave and Arkham Asylum been brought to life on stage in a more visually exciting way. Join Batman and Robin as they battle their nemesis The Joker and other super-villains such as The Riddler, Catwoman, The Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, set on destroying Gotham City.

Totally authentic, bold and awe-inspiring, Batman Live will be a completely new way to experience the world of Batman. This is one adventure you do not want to miss!

The 85 minute long show will open at an elaborate circus featuring the tragic Flying Grasons trapeze accident in which the family of Dick Grayson (Robin) are killed.

Batman Live will motor through a rapid sequence of scenes, none of them clocking in at much over two minutes, so as to keep the momentum up. There will be acrobatics, pyrotechnics, stuntmen, supervillains and screeching Batmobiles on a 100ft-wide, 60ft-deep performance area.

Behind the actors, a giant video wall will flash panels from comic strips and special effects, and give the appearance of interacting with the live performers on stage. There will be an onstage disaster with a hot-air balloon and a Joker face whose eyes, teeth and hair are made up of dozens of dancers.

That Joker looks like he just did a "bazillions" lines of coke...

But at least he's not trying to rip off Heath Ledger.

you know - the cast doesn't look that bad. my only gripe would be Batman and Robin's shiny ass getup. it looks like that Batman movie that shall not be named - sans nips.

Wow that stage looks amazing! This looks way better than that horror Spiderman Musical. My gripe has to be Batman's suit. WTF is he wearing. It's like Tony Stark let Bats borrow one of his suits. The crotch area looks funny as hell Laughing out loud

shiny bat crotch still beats shiny glistening spiderman chest while singing in the rain.

Is she wearing red and blue? If so, then I concur, blegh.

I'm cool with it all. Shiny Bat costume makes sense for practical purposes. Dark sets + solid black costume = no one seeing the star of the show. That's why they put stage runners in all black as they change sets. Theater costumes have to be a tad more flashy. Yes, the Spiderman: TOD stuff might of went a bit far.
