THE WALKING DEAD...Weekly! And Mobile!

The Walking Dead will be coming to comic shops weekly in 2011! The zombie epic, written by Robert Kirkman, will be reprinted starting at issue #1 on January 5, 2011 and will continue chronologically for the entire year.

"Keeping a series like this going year after year is all about creating good jumping-on-points for new readers," says series creator and writer Robert Kirkman. "And what better way to jump on than with the very first issue? Making this series available in single issue form will make it easier for new fans to jump on board and for old fans to fill in any gaps in their collection."

A new The Walking Dead Omnibus was also announced. The hardcover collection will be limited to a run of 3000 copies, and contain issues #49-72.

In other news, The Walking Dead is now available digitally in it's own Comixology-based app on the Apple iPod Touch and iPad. The app is a free download, with issues priced individually within it.
