The actress recently talked about her Smallville cameo and posted a picture through her Facebook. Plus, some information given about Ella Lane's cameo.
Quite a big buzz was created when it was announced weeks ago that Terri Hatcher would be making her return to the Superman franchise by guest starring in the eighth episode of the series tenth and final season as Lois Lane's mother, Ella Lane. The episode will air sometime in November.

On her official Facebook page she posted a picture from her recent Smallville shoot, as well as a statement about her role in Smallville.
I shot my Smallville part. While I'm sworn to secrecy, I can tell you that it was a blast from the past and it was with love in my heart that I tried to deliver something that served the part, honored the show in it's 10th season, and gave a tip of the hat to all the deserved fans who've supported me all these years. Many thanks. It was lots of fun. Check out this photo from the set. Can you believe it? Ah...Lois. I love Susan but I've missed you:) Stay tuned for info and air dates.
Executive Producer Brain Peterson explains where the idea for Ella Lane's cameo derived from,
"The video actually came from a personal story. This actually happened for somebody in the [writers'] room. Her best friend just found out she has a very significant illness and is dying momentarily, so she sat down and made all of these videos for her child. With Ella, was we just pulled that into the show, because it was so heart-wrenching. Then we thought 'Who do you get to play Lois' mom?' Then everybody just looked at each other and it was like, beat, beat... Teri Hatcher! And she's been fantastic."
Executive Producer Kelly Souders goes on to add, "She was wonderful. We got to watch the footage yesterday, and all I will say is I watched three takes, and then I had to stop for a while, because it was so heart-wrenching, and she had an incredible performance. It was beautiful."
