The quality of the cast and crew for Summit's Breaking Dawn continues to improve dramatically; including the addition of Oscar winners Guilermo Navarro as Cinematographer and John Bruno as Visual Effects Supervisor.
Just yesterday, Summit Entertainment released their casting choices for the Denali Coven in the two part finale of The Twilight Saga. Today we learn of surprising crew additions to the Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) film via a note to fans on the director's Facebook page.
Guilermo Navarro is no stranger to big budget studio features. He served as director of photography on Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Zathura, Night at the Museum, Spy Kidd, Spawn and From Dusk 'Till Dawn; and is currently working on DreamWorks Studios' film adaptation I Am Number Four". His most acclaimed venture was Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth, which garnered him an Academy Award; and he may return to del Toro's side in Mountains of Madness. Though Navarro was supposed to be prepping for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit later this year, it is now confirmed he will act as cinematographer for The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn.
Other notable additions to the film's crew are Academy Award winning visual effects supervisor John Bruno (Avatar, Poltergeist), costume designer Michael Wilkinson (Tron Legacy, Watchmen), production designer Richard Sherman (Gods and Monsters) and make up artist Jean Black (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is scheduled to be released theatrically November 18th, 2011; with Part 2 following on November 16th, 2012.
