Katy Perry Skit Removed From SESAME STREET

Sesame Street has been releasing video clips for their 41st season featuring guest stars of the upcoming season. Such guest stars include Jude Law, Will.i.am, Colin Farrell, Katy Perry and Run-DMC's Reverend Run.
Sadly, the clip featuring the duet between Elmo and Katy Perry performing a reworked version of her 2008 hit "Hot N Cold," was not perceived well with parents due to artist's wardrobe choice for the skit; parents labeled it, "inappropriate for a show geared toward children ages one to six."
Parents that viewed the video on YouTube left very critical comments including: "Couldn't she wear something that was more. oh idk. APPROPRIATE" and "I DO NOT want my five year old lookin at [that]!"
Below is the video of Katy Perry's duet with Elmo:
TMZ reported that Perry wasn't actually half-naked, her outfit featured a flesh-colored mesh top that went all the way up to her neck, similar to a figure-skater's costume.
Due to the recent splurge of complaints from parents, the show's producers have decided not to air the skit. "In light of the feedback we've received on the Katy Perry music video which was released on You Tube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of Sesame Street, which is aimed at preschoolers," the show's producers said in a statement. "Katy Perry fans will still be able to view the video on You Tube."

It's cheesy but nothing really is wrong with it. People are so sensitive.

The famous children's show Sesame Street use parodies and celebrity segments to interest adults in the show because they know that a child learns best when co-viewing with a parent or care-giver. There won’t be the Perry “Sesame Street” show airing anymore. “Sesame Street” is well-known as a children’s show and known for the appearances of famous stars all the time. The singer sings a duet with Elmo at one point. Katy Perry Sesame Street appearance squashed. Parents didn’t like seeing what Perry wore in her duet. She sang with Elmo her “Hot and Cold” hit. The clip of the sketch leaked on to YouTube, and worried parents started writing letters and e-mails in protest, leading to the sketch getting pulled.
