The movie was entertaining and enjoyable with Renner as a brilliant rouge spy. However the story line was lacking with a very unfulfilling ending. I agree with Pietro, if you havent seen the previous films, you will not enjoyable this film as much as fans of the franchise.

As a fan of the last three Bourne films I found The Bourne Legacy to be a decent action romp but not a return to form for the franchise. The now standardized manhunt scenes, where government operatives go to great lengths to track down and eliminate their "rogue" agent, felt repetitive and lacked necessary tension. If you haven't seen the previous trilogy you'll probably feel rather lost here and the ending wasn't as rewarding as I'm used to.

On the positive side Renner was fantastic, which assuaged doubt that the franchise could survive without Matt Damon in the lead. His chemistry with Weisz was both believable and enjoyable to watch. I'd love to see him return for a sequel with a meatier script, or even one where he and Damon team up.
